The Pacific Northwestern United States presents

many challenges for more sustainable living:

Living more sustainably involves helping to design a community that maximumizes our potential to achieve meaning and happiness.

Living in a more sustainable community gives you the opportunity to earn a living wage for your work so that you have enough purchasing power to be able to participate actively in your local economy at all stages of your life.

An excellent and practical education that is individually based is a major priority in sustainable communities. Our education should fundamentally be based on the understanding of sustainably living on the planet.

Sustainable communities have access to excellent health care for all.

Sustainable communities put a priority on a safe and a healthy environment.

Sustainable environments produce less greenhouse gases by controling the burning of fossil fuels, and limiting CO2 and methane emissions. A more vegetarian or vegan diet will have a tremendous impact on the health of all our atmosphere.
